To make the tapa, warming the razor clams lightly in a pan is recommended, though not required. While doing so, toast those slices of a fresh loaf mentioned above. Once golden, slather them with Garlic Chilli Crisp, then place a razor clam atop each slice. Perhaps slightly more slathering should be done, if you so desire. Then there you have it. The tongue-tingliest tapa around.

"Razor Shell clams, Clams in Brine, and Cod fish in Biscayne Sauce hit all the marks for taste, presentation and pricing. As a 81 year sadly beginning another cancer journey - just finished 5 year clean with colon cancer and now beginning chemo for bladder cancer - totally unrelated. I appreciate having tins of delicious fish available to delight my taste buds and meet my protein needs. Sometimes right out of the tin with a big squeeze of lemon and maybe the next day clam linguine (I followed your posted recipe, which was very good and so easy, but also enjoy the clams with a richer saucepan version. Can’t top the cod with great bread for sopping up the sauce. Frying up the razor clams is my idea of heaven with a lovely Chardonnay, and yes, I allow myself a treat now and again. Next time I’ll try to figure out how to submit photos."
