Spices

We currently only offer two spices, but they're both essential to a variety of Spanish dishes. In Basque Country, you'll find piment d'Espelette sprinkled on salads in place of cracked black pepper, rubbed onto cured ham, or stirred into sauces and stews. The eponymous peppers of the village of Espelette are strung by hand on the facades of buildings throughout the hamlet to dry in the sun. Saffron, of course, is the essential ingredients to any paella prepared throughout Spain, but is used in everything from ice cream to soup. The fragrant and flavorful spice is expensive, but a few threads are enough to enhance any dish.
